A familiar face was spotted along the streets of Orchard Road last Tuesday!
Complete with an electric guitar and boom boxes, Felicia Chin rocked out with knee-high leather boots and loads of metal studs!
Her band members? Like the best pop groups out there, there's one member for every type of fan imaginable! Featuring... back-up singer Shaun Chen, and back-up dancer HK veteran Xia Yu! (Aunties beware)
Nah, you're definitely not going to bump into this motley crew of a band the next time you walk down Orchard Road, because this is a scene for upcoming drama Love Thy Neighbour!
In this scene, Wang Tian Hu (played by Felicia) busks to raise money for her neighbour Xian He (played by Ah Tak) when his family lands in dire straits. The production crew has even prepared a fake busker's permit for her! (Yes, because it's important to show the proper processes, even when acting!)
The transformation to a rocker is not easy. Other than donning tight black leather in the sweltering weather, there is of course eyeliner in abundance...
Felicia even cut her finger practising for this scene! It's a little healed now, but there was a really deep abrasion before.
All this while, her co-star is enjoying an iced coffee in the shade... (Ok lah don't blame Shaun, he did offer her a sip.)
He even sniggers at Felicia's expression when she was jumping and lip-synching with all her heart!
In the show, despite her garang personality, Tian Hu is mortally afraid of performing in front of a crowd! Her father (played by Xia Yu) brings her a mask to help with her stage fright!
Her amateur attempt still brings in a large crowd! Most of them are random tourists, who must be wondering why such a large group is staying to watch some girl lip-sync!
Even better, it also brings in loadsa money! (check out the $$ in Xia Yu's hands haha)
